AIXTRON and Manz announce strategic cooperation for OLED manufacturing

AIXTRON SE, a German supplier of deposition systems to the semiconductor industry, and Manz AG, a Germany based specialist engineering company, recently agreed on a strategic cooperation. Both partners will be working on further developing solutions for use in efficient OLED production.

New film for flexible electronics

DuPont Teijin Films (DTF) is developing a new ‘Clean-on-Demand’ PET polyester film that according to the company could boost yields and cut costs for roll-to-roll (R2R) production of flexible electronics. It features a protective layer that is said to keep the active surface of the film clean and free from particulate contamination until it is used, reducing defects. This development is made as part of the EU-funded, Holst Centre-coordinated Clean4Yield project.

The 10^th edition of Printed Electronics USA, which has just ended in Santa Clara, CA, USA, was the biggest ever. According to the organiser IDTechEx more than 2 000 attendees were visiting the conference and the 160 exhibitors.
