SolarWindow Technologies (Columbia, Maryland), a leading developer of transparent electricity-generating coatings for glass windows and flexible veneers, has been awarded its first-ever advanced manufacturing cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) by the US Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s (EERE) Advanced Manufacturing Office (AMO).

TactoTek speeds IMSE production with Essemtec Multifunctional SMD

Recently, TactoTek (Oulu, Finland), the leading developer of injection moulded structural electronics (IMSE) solutions, announced that it is now using an Essemtec multi-functional pick-and-place system, The Paraquda, for IMSE production. The Paraquda combines three different production steps within one machine platform: solder paste jetting and/or glue jetting and SMD assembly.

The PrintoCent 10 commercialisation project on health and well-being rapid tests has started with a notable company cluster. The PrintoCent10 project has been funded by the European Regional Development Fund and is led by VTT together with the Oulu University of Applied Sciences and University of Oulu. The project was set up to activate companies within the field of printed intelligence and to manufacture rapid tests as well as to pilot them with real use cases.
