Fraunhofer FEP: H2020 grant for perovskite-based lighting, wearables and fabric devices

The EC is now boosting the impressive research activities in the field of perovskites by the PeroCUBE project, which is funded under Horizon 2020. On 1 April 2020, 14 European partners from industry and science in ten countries launched the joint project to develop new applications in the fields of lighting, photovoltaics and telecommunications. Researchers from the Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP in Dresden, Germany, are involved in the project and will contribute their expertise over the next 3,5 years.

Heliatek’s HeliaSol labelled as 1 of 1000 efficient solutions by Solar Impulse Foundation

Heliatek (Dresden, Germany) has announced that its award-winning organic solar film HeliaSol has passed the stringent criteria of the Solar Impulse Foundation to be approved as one of its listed efficient solutions. The so-called “1000solutions” programme was launched by Bertrand Piccard (the first person that circumnavigated the world in the solar airplane “Solar Impulse”) to promote innovations that help protecting our environment in a profitable way. Currently more than 400 of these solutions are listed in the five categories:
