The tradeshow LOPEC will take place at the trade fair centre in Munich, Germany, from 28-30 March 2017, providing information on the latest products, technologies and trends in printed electronics. This year, the automotive industry will be one of the focal points of the international exhibition and conference. Whether in the form of curved displays in the dashboard or OLEDs in vehicle lighting, printed electronic components are opening up a wealth of new design options and are increasing driving comfort levels.
Currently, the most interesting and fastest-growing application areas of printed electronics are in the sectors of wearables, automotive and in the Internet of Things. Smart labels, smart watches, intelligent clothing and dashboards are just a few examples of end-use products which printed electronics can be integrated into.
The “IDTechEx Show!” – also known as Printed Electronics USA – in Santa Clara, California, was attended by 3146 visitors from 45 countries. 212 exhibitors were showcasing their materials, machinery, components, finished devices and services.
