Solar films manufactured by the German company Heliatek (Dresden) have been installed on ENGIE Laborelec’s building in Linkebeek, Belgium. The HeliaFilm organic films have been incorporated into the façade and windows and will enable the testing of new solar technology systems.
The President of the Saxon parliament, Dr Matthias Rößler, received the EU Commissioner for budget and personnel, Günther H. Oettinger in Dresden. Together they visited Heliatek and got a view of the production facility. Dr Martin Pfeiffer, one of the Founders, and Dr Ralph Wichtendahl, vice Ppresident operations, shared the latest information on technical and sales developments of the company.
CSEM Brasil, an institute for applied science and technology based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, its spin-off company SUNEW, and Cambrios Advanced Materials (headquartered in Sunnyvale, California) have announced at LOPEC 2017 that they have jointly developed “OPV Power Film” that uses Cambrios’ ClearOhm technology to make transparent solar cells which will be integrated into windows and make use of the large areas available to produce power in buildings.
