PCAS increases manufacturing capacities of electronic polymers and chemicals

The French company PCAS will spend US$8M within the next few years to significantly increase its production capacity of electronic materials. The main part of this investment will be focused on its Canadian plant in Saint-Jean, Quebec, and specializes in the production of low-metal polymers and complex chemicals for two growing segments of the electronic industry: the production of integrated circuits by photolithography and the organic electronic segment.

DuPont Electronics & Communications and Holst Centre extend collaboration

DuPont Electronics & Communications, a leading innovator and high-volume supplier of electronic inks and pastes, and the Dutch R&D institute Holst Centre announced the third extension of their successful long-term collaboration, which is focused on advanced materials for the printed electronics industry.  As a full partner in the Printed Electronics programme, DuPont will contribute new materials and research samples targeted toward Holst’s active projects in the areas of wearable electronics, in-mould electronics, consumer electronics and healthcare.

SmartKem appoints new CFO

SmartKem Ltd., a leading provider of organic semiconductors for flexible OLED displays, has presented a new CFO to support the realisation of its global growth ambitions. Steve Dunn-Massey joined the UK-based business, which has offices in North Wales and Manchester, back in November. Dunn-Massey has worked in several roles as group finance director at technology-led global businesses over the past 25 years and joins a leadership team with high experience and skills in the electronic display market.
