CES 2018: OE-A unites end users and suppliers

Numerous industry sectors, from automotive, consumer electronics and household appliances to packaging and healthcare, have products based on organic and printed electronics. Consumer electronics is currently the largest industry in which this technology is being applied. This technology can be found in e-readers, smartphones and tablets, and it is used to turn clothing and accessories into intelligent wearables, as well as making the operation of automobiles and many devices easier through the use of touch sensors.

Organic and Printed Electronics Industry expects an increase of 16% in sales revenue in 2018

The signs continue to be set for growth in the organic and printed electronics industry. This is the clear message to result from the latest business climate survey conducted by the OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association), a Working Group within VDMA (Mechanical Engineering Industry Association). Over 80 percent of survey participants expect the industry to continue its positive development in the coming year.

LOPEC 2018 and drinktec 2017: Intelligent packaging for the beverage industry

The global market for intelligent packaging with printed electronic components is growing rapidly. Messe München is focusing on this topic with two events: drinktec, the world’s leading trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry, will take place from 11 to 15 September 2017. The drinktec Forum on 14 September will provide information about printed electronics applications in the beverage industry. LOPEC, the international exhibition and conference for the printed electronics industry, will then take place six months later from 13 to 15 March 2018 and will focus, among other things, on smart packaging.
