Identiv, Inc., a physical security and secure identification provider based in Fremont, California, announced the launch of the next generation of its uTrust Sense Temperature Tracker, a low-cost, portable, powered smart sensor that tracks and stores temperature readings. In addition to its low cost and small form factor, it can be read by any near field communication (NFC) reader, such as a mobile phone, and uploaded to the Internet for analytic purposes.

Thin Film Electronics ASA (Oslo, Norway), a global leader in NFC smart-packaging solutions using printed electronics, announced a partnership with Bedford Industries (Worthington (MN), USA), an innovative manufacturer of product ties, closures and identification tags. The two companies will integrate Thinfilm’s NFC SpeedTap technology into Bedford’s popular ElastiTag hang-tag product line to deliver turnkey intelligent packaging solutions to consumer brand companies of all sizes as well as the broader fast moving consumer goods market.

Schreiner MediPharm, a division of the label and marking specialist Schreiner Group (Oberschleißheim, Germany), has developed specialty labels for demo devices of various SHL Medical auto injector models, in which safety and patient ease-of-use are paramount.
