Heliatek GmbH, a leader in organic photovoltaic and a manufacturer of solar films based in Dresden, Germany, announced recently that it has raised €15M from new and existing investors. Strong interest among potential investors led to an extension of the last round of financing. It will enable Heliatek to accelerate its development and speed up its worldwide market entry. The company supplies HeliaFilm to partners in the building and construction materials industry for application directly on facades and roofs of industrial and commercial buildings. These solar films generate green, delocalised, decarbonised electricity.
Sun Chemical (Parsippany, New Jersey) has entered into a license agreement to introduce a new family of molecular inks for the printed electronics market with Groupe Graham International (GGI), a world leader in user interface technologies in touch applications, and the National Research Council of Canada (NRC).
Printed electronics and 3D-printing systems are coming together and enabling new applications.
