ADPV Limited, a Hong Kong-based provider of CIGS photovoltaic solutions, has signed a joint development contract with Solliance, a partnership of R&D organisations from The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany working in thin film photovoltaic solar energy. The contract concerns the development of two-step electroplated CIGS modules.
Sun Chemical (Parsippany, (NJ), USA) and its parent company DIC have acquired Gwent Electronic Materials, a leading manufacturer of conductive inks, pastes and powders for the printed electronic market. With the acquisition of the UK-based company, Sun Chemical will expand its leading global position in the printed electronics marketplace.
Fluxim, a developer of dedicated R&D tools for organic electronics and a spin-off of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Switzerland, has recently announced the release of Laoss, the first simulation tool aimed specifically at the design of large area organic electronics devices such as OLEDs for displays and lighting as well as organic and perovskite solar cells.
