Spectra 3100 Plus adds bright orange to the existing four colours (black, white, red, and yellow) of the previous generation. The combination of five vivid and saturated colours creates a more eye-catching display, which is expected to help retailers improve their marketing and advertising performance. E Ink Spectra 3100 Plus offers a variety of display sizes, including 1.64-inch, 2.36-inch, 3-inch, 4.37-inch, 7.3-inch, and 8.14-inch, allowing retailers to choose a suitable size of five-colour ePaper for different application scenarios.
eMagin Corporation (Hopewell Junction, New York), a leader in the development, design and manufacture of high-resolution OLED microdisplays for AR/VR and other near-eye imaging products, has been awarded four additional patents by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for the company’s Direct Patterning Display (dPd) technology. The patents relate to the creation of high-resolution displays with unique pixel structures and proprietary fabrication methods, and bring to 21 the company’s total number of foundational, dPd-related patents and utility applications for OLED patterning, processes and equipment.
Avery Dennison Corporation, a global leader in materials science and the world's largest manufacturer of UHF RFID (radio frequency identification) tags, started operations of its new intelligent labels factory in Brazil. The new plant aims to meet the growing demand from various industry sectors within the national market and other regions in South America, as driven by new “contactless” consumer experience and omnichannel models. The new unit is the first in the country and the eighth in the world to start operating – among other facilities in China, Malaysia, Europe, the United States and Mexico.
