InnovationLab, an expert in printed and organic electronics, announced a partnership with Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg, Germany). By working with the world's leading manufacturer of sheetfed offset presses, the company is able to produce cost-effective printed and organic sensors in large quantities. For the first time, the cooperation enables the development and production of customised pressure sensors on an industrial scale and at economic costs.
The Society for Information Display (SID) hosted its 57th International Symposium, Seminar and Exhibition, known as Display Week 2020. The all-virtual event was held 3-7 August. This year's global event drew more than 5500 attendees from 50+ countries. Display Week perennially attracts the brightest minds in the display industry, providing insight into new display technologies in development, as well as affording a sneak peek at new products that will be hitting the shelves within the next few years.
A research and development network for 'Hybrid Systems with Printed Electronics' (Hidronik) started in July 2020 with a funding of €144 000 from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy within the framework of the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM) under the coordination of ENERGIEregion Nürnberg e.V.
