AUO (Hsinchu, Taiwan) has been recognised by the Manufacturing Leadership Awards (MLA) in categories of Digital Network Connectivity as well as AI and Machine Learning, and especially honoured the High Achiever in Sustainability and the Circular Economy category by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) in the US. Drawing up on its years of experience in smart manufacturing and digital transformation, AUO combined AIoT, digital IoT and data analytics technologies to build a machine doctor for carrying a comprehensive health exam of factories. The 2D Experimental Pilot Line(2D-EPL), a project grown from the Graphene Flagship, has launched its first customisable wafer run. As one of five multi-project wafer (MPW) runs, this first phase targets sensor applications. Companies, universities and research institutes could include their designs as dies on joint wafers, to test their ideas for devices on a larger scale at relatively low costs.
