OLEDWorks, a leading manufacturer of OLED lighting panels, and BASF’s Coatings division (both from Germany) joined forces to develop the world’s brightest bendable OLED panels. The new product range named “Brite 3” enables an improved efficacy while still having the superb colour rendering and high brightness option. In addition to the new bendable version, completely new application spaces will be possible for luminaire makers and lighting designers. The Brite 3 portfolio, including a new round shape and the bendable version, have been introduced at the 2018 Light + Building exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany.
The signs are still set for growth in the organic and printed electronics industry. This is the clear message to result from the latest business climate survey conducted by the OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association). 87% of the survey participants expect the industry to continue its positive development in the coming year. The results of the survey, carried out for the ninth time, were presented to the international press at LOPEC 2018 – the international trade fair and conference – in Munich, Germany, by OE-A chair Dr Jeremy Burroughes.
From OLEDs to intelligent packaging: From 13 to 15 March, LOPEC in Munich showcased groundbreaking developments in flexible electronics. The LOPEC Conference provided important stimuli for application, research and development. The topic of well-being was a recurring theme throughout exhibition, conference and supporting programme.
