Sharp Corporation (Osaka, Japan) has collaborated with E Ink Holdings Inc. (Hsinchu City, Taiwan), the world’s commercial leader in the electronic paper field, to develop an A2-sized colour electronic paper display equipped with an IGZO backplane. The new ePoster electronic paper display that has been unveiled for the first time at SHARP Tech-Day, a technology exhibition at the Tokyo Big Sight International Exhibition Center (Koto-ku, Tokyo) from 10-12 November 2023.
During the Executive Forum on Materials Innovation at SEMICON Europa 2023 Emma Salmi, Head of Synthesis, presented ‘Canatu carbon nanotube membranes as a versatile material platform for EUV lithography.’ She highlighted the benefits of Canatu’s (Vantaa, Finland) unique carbon nanotube manufacturing process, emphasised the expertise gained from mass-producing EUV membranes since 2021, and elaborated on the customisation of these membranes for diverse applications such as EUV pellicles, debris filters and optical filters, highlighting remarkable versatility they offer.
AIXTRON SE has officially started the construction of the new innovation centre at its headquarters in Herzogenrath, Germany. The leading provider of deposition equipment to the semiconductor industry is investing around €100M in 1000m2 of clean room with additional space for the required metrology equipment. This research facility will feature the latest technologies available in the industry. The first systems are scheduled to move into the new building during the second half of 2024. The official handover is planned for early 2025.
