E Ink Holdings, a leading innovator of electronic ink technology based in Billerica, Massachusetts, announced its partnership with Progress Technologies Inc., a technical service for design development, to bring E Ink’s ePaper modules to a first-of-its-kind E-Manga solution, the eOneBook. Developed for readers who prefer paperback comic books to tablets, the eOneBook combines an entire volume of manga comics into a single device using E Ink’s low-power, high contrast paper-like display.
With the successful installation of a solar-active pilot façade, Heliatek GmbH from Dresden, Germany, and Hoesch Bausysteme GmbH (Kreuztal, Germany) show a first application of their joint product development. At the installation, the organic solar film HeliaFilm was integrated into the siding elements of Hoesch.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP (Dresden, Germany) will be presenting OLEDs on gauzy stainless steel foil during AIMCAL 2017 in Tampa, Florida from 15-18 October. The novel application was developed in cooperation with Nippon Steel & Sumikin Materials Co., Ltd. (NSMAT) and Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC).
