UniPixel, a provider of advanced technology solutions to the touchscreen and flexible electronics market headquartered in Santa Clara, California, has signed an agreement for joint development of its touch sensor technology, specifically for flexible display applications, with General Interface Solution (GIS), a Taiwan-based subsidiary of Foxconn. GIS is a billion-dollar provider of integrated touch display solutions in the mobile phone, notebook PC, 2-in-1 laptop and tablet markets to global customers including major PC and smartphone brands.
Thin Film Electronics from Norway, a global leader in NFC (near field communication) mobile marketing and smart product solutions, announced that the fab at its new Junction Avenue facility is now operational and that the first product lots have shipped.
