Hummink (Paris, France) is developing a nano-manufacturing technology for the microelectronics and semiconductor markets. Thanks to a simpler and more efficient process than current industry standards, the company aims to divide by 10 the number of manufacturing steps of certain complex components, thereby knocking down development and manufacturing costs as well as the energy footprint of the industry.
Pharma label expert Schreiner MediPharm (Oberschleißheim, Germany) and SCHOTT Pharma (Mainz, Germany), the specialist in drug containment and delivery solutions for medications, have been engaged in a partnership for several years. Its objective is to develop new smart concepts that add functional value to prefilled syringes. At the PDA Universe of Pre-Filled Syringes and Injection Devices Conference in California, both companies have now for the first time presented a coordinated, newly developed solution to equip prefilled syringes with RFID.
