Imec, a leading research and innovation hub in nano-electronics and digital technologies, announced that it will become the first incubator in Belgium to join the Google Cloud Platform for Startups programme. The platform comes with credits for eligible Flemish start-ups who are part of the imec.istart programme, which supports entrepreneurs who are establishing their techbusiness with financial means, coaching and training.
Nissha Printing Co., Ltd, a leading Japanese manufacturer of in-mould decoration (IMD) parts for automotive and home appliance OEMs, announced that they are partnering with TactoTek from Finland, a leading producer of 3D injection moulded structural electronics (IMSE), to collaboratively design and mass produce automotive and home appliance control panels.

FlexEnable (Cambridge, UK), a leading company dedicated to the development and industrialisation of flexible organic electronics, developed a 12.1” glass-free, conformable organic liquid crystal display (OLCD) marking an important milestone in the commercialisation of large area flexible displays. The technology is compatible with existing LCD production lines, and is scalable to even larger area displays to meet the immediate market needs for applications including automotive, consumer electronics, and digital signage.
