SmartKem, a leader in the design, synthesis and supply of high performance organic semiconductors and organic thin film transistor (OTFT) technology, has hailed the decision by one of the world’s largest display manufacturers to create a dedicated Gen 3.5 OTFT backplane production line as a landmark moment for the semiconductor industry.
Optomec (Albuquerque, New Mexico), a leading global supplier of production grade additive manufacturing systems for 3D printed metals and 3D printed electronics, together with its development partners Lockheed Martin, Binghamton University, General Electric Company, Intrinsiq Materials, and the University of Maryland, was awarded one of five development projects from NextFlex. NextFlex is America’s Flexible Hybrid Electronics Manufacturing Institute, which brings together companies, academic institutions, non-profits and state, local and federal governments with a shared goal of advancing US manufacturing of flexible and hybrid electronics.
Sun Chemical (Parsippany, New Jersey) and its parent company, DIC Corporation, will exhibit their wide portfolio of solutions for biosensors and medical devices during MD&M East 2017 on 13-15 June in New York City. The event is considered to be the largest medical technology exhibition on the American east coast.
