OLEDWorks, a leading manufacturer of OLED light technology for the general lighting and automotive industries, recently announced its newest team member, Dr Kathleen Vaeth, as director of OLED User Experience (UX).
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg, Germany) has set up a dedicated business unit for the industrial development, manufacture, and sale of printed and organic electronics. The company has also started production at its Wiesloch-Walldorf site, investing some €5M in a complete production line for printed sensors. Sensors developed at InnovationLab (iL) in Heidelberg for use in dental technology are set to be printed first.
CrowdScan, a spin-off from imec and the University of Antwerp in Belgium, has developed a system that measures the density of a crowd in real-time using a wireless sensor network.
