Civil aviation is committed to making progress on the road towards a climate-neutral future. To make current and future aircrafts more energy-efficient and use less jet fuel, the industry needs reliable data about the durability of materials and aerodynamics in actual flight. Researchers at Fraunhofer IZM (Berlin, Germany) are working on behalf of Airbus Central C&T to show how sensors could be integrated in the outer shell of aircraft fuselage to achieve robust and reliable measurements even in the tough conditions in the air.
CERADROP (Limoges, France), a MGI Group company, has sold one of its CeraPrinter F-Serie Platforms to the Mechanics, Smart Sensors & Nondestructive Evaluation (MSS-NDE) Laboratory at the University OF Ioannina in Greece. The MSS-NDE Lab is one of the most prominent units working in the field of advanced materials for emerging real-world applications, in a range of industrial fields, such as the health and food sectors, among others.

This yearly competition run by the OE-A, part of VDMA, fosters and challenges engineers and designers to present their printed electronics innovations to the world. At LOPEC 2023, the leading international exhibition and conference of printed electronics, from 28 February to 2 March at ICM, Messe München, all projects are showcased at the OE-A booth.
