From 26 to 28 February the World Smart Energy Week 2014 was hosted by Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd in the Tokyo Big Sight, Japan. The show focused on the topics energy generation, -storage and -saving, smart grid systems and processing technologies.

More than 67 000 visitors attended the event that consisted of eight co-hosted trade shows and conferences. They were able to inform themselves at the stands of more than 400 exhibitors of which 30% were non-Japanese. A number of countries, including Germany, South Korea, China and Taiwan, were also represented in special pavilions.

Over 50 representatives of countries and globally acting companies attended the ribbon cutting ceremony, underlining the international importance of the World Smart Energy Week.
