Maximum security for government uses: The ((rfid))-3rd License Plate

For government uses, PrinTrust offers suitable solutions for vehicle identification that successfully address a serious issue: Vehicles without proper registration cause major damage worldwide in various forms—from lost tax revenue to vehicle thefts to increased security risks such as the circumvention of access controls. Effective ways to deter and provide faster proof of fraud and abuse are therefore in demand: The Third License Plate from Schreiner PrinTrust is a security label applied to the inside of a windshield and complements the commonly known metal license plates, which can easily be stolen, copied and illegally used on other vehicles. Due to its location inside the vehicle and protective mechanisms against tampering and counterfeiting, the Third License Plate frustrates attempts to steel or tamper with it. When peeling off the label the antenna and printed image are destroyed and tampering attempts become immediately visible. The self-adhesive seal is printed with the vehicle data issued by the registration authority and can also cover other use cases such as proof of insurance, payment of taxes or toll fees, parking permits and access control.

RFID labels specifically for smart parking and AVI applications

In the wake of increasing mobility, the volume of traffic keeps growing worldwide along with higher consumer expectations of efficiency and convenience. Therefore, solutions that accelerate traffic flow are particularly needed in bottleneck areas such as parking garage entrances and lanes at toll gate plazas. Convenient off-street-parking

When a driver approaches a parking garage gate, the barrier will automatically open by means of wireless technology via the chip embedded in the ((rfid))-Windshield Label on the windshield. The fees to be paid are calculated according to the recorded entry and exit times and charged to the user based on payment data stored in the parking facility operator’s IT system. 

 Efficient checks of on-street parking

In on-street parking applications, the ((rfid))-Windshield Label and its counterpart, the ((rfid))-Parking Permit, enhance efficiency. The ((rfid))-Parking Permit enables automatic and easy identification of vehicles from the outside at a distance of a few meters in a contactless process, which enormously reduces the effort involved. Due to the use of RFID, data transmission does not require line of sight. A complementary visual inspection can be performed by checking the printed information on the label and its security features.

All components from a one-stop shop

Schreiner PrinTrust offers an extensive product portfolio of labels specifically for parking and AVI purposes and more from a one-stop shop.
