Schreiner Group wins FINAT Award
At this year's FINAT Label Competition, the Schreiner Group impressed with its Smart Syringe Box, developed by its Schreiner MediPharm business unit. This smart packaging solution for syringes won first place in the Innovation Category.
The German high-tech company was recognised with the award by the international association for the European label industry (FINAT) as part of the European Label Forum. Dr. Jens Vor der Brüggen, Head of Research + Development, accepted the award in Amsterdam. The Smart Syringe Box from Schreiner MediPharm is a smart form of packaging for syringes that has been developed primarily for use in clinical trials. The box features perforated compartments with integrated electronics documenting the exact removal of individual syringes. As a result, relevant data such as the time of removal and compartment can be stored and transmitted to the database in real time by means of an app or Bluetooth. In addition, temperature monitoring and tracking provide maximum security and traceability.
