PragmatIC to exhibit at IDTechEx Show Santa Clara 2019

PragmatIC (Cambridge, UK) will be exhibiting and presenting at the IDTechEx Show in Santa Clara, USA, on 20-21 November. It has been an especially busy year for the company with the launch of its ConnectIC family of ultra-thin and low cost flexible integrated circuits (FlexICs) in February. This was followed by several key partner announcements, including Mühlbauer, Baoshen and Topolytics, and most recently Schreiner MediPharm.

At IDTechEx, Scott White, CEO at PragmatIC, will be giving a keynote speech on Wednesday entitled ‘Flexible electronics in the real world’, where he will outline how PragmatIC’s technology opens up the opportunity to add connectivity and interactivity into use cases previously limited by cost. Recent examples of PragmatIC’s ConnectICs in action will be reviewed, including increasing efficiency in a NHS pathology lab and improving waste management with the Tyre Recovery Association.

Also, at IDTechEx, Dr Richard Price, CTO at PragmatIC, will be introducing the new FlexIC Foundry platform in his ‘Dream big’ presentation, explaining how this is being used by select partners to create custom circuits using PragmatIC’s unique, patented technology. FlexIC Foundry combines the FlexLogIC Process Design Kit (PDK) with a rapid tapeout cycle for production wafers, allowing product iteration and refinement without the cost and timescale constraints of a silicon fab. The PDK is based on an industry-standard Electronic Design Automation (EDA) toolflow; it includes a core device library, simulation models, design rules, and a growing library of standard cells to facilitate design and footprint optimisation. FlexIC Foundry gives designers the freedom to imagine entirely new applications for electronics.

Scott White’s keynote speech ‘Flexible electronics in the real world’ will take place at 12:50 on Wednesday 20 November in Conference Room G.

Dr Richard Price’s presentation ‘Dream big with PragmatIC’ will be at 16:20 on Wednesday 20 November in the exhibition theatre.

Uwe Braun, from Schreiner MediPharm, will also be giving a presentation entitled ‘Industrialisation of smart packages for medication adherence’ at 17:40 on Wednesday 20 in Conference Room G.
