OE-A at ISPO 2020: Flexible and printed electronics for enabling smart sportswear
Flexible sensors to monitor your performance, motion and physical conditions, improve your training as well as prevent injuries. Integrated lighting for additional safety or self-heating jackets to increase your well-being. Organic and printed electronics stands for a revolutionary new type of electronics, which are thin, lightweight, flexible, robust and produced at low cost, from organic, polymeric or inorganic materials. The high degree of freedom of design requires a holistic approach in product design to enable this wide range of novel applications.
On 26-29 January, ISPO 2020 – the world’s largest trade fair for the sports industry – takes place at Messe München in Munich, Germany. Also this year OE-A will represent the flexible and printed electronics industry at ISPO. Attendees at the OE-A Seminar and the LOPEC information booth can find out what this technology may enable in the sports business.
On Tuesday, 28 January from 13:00-14:00h, OE-A will organise the seminar “Flexible and Printed Electronics for Enabling Smart Sportswear” at the ISPO Academy. This one-hour seminar will present current developments and use-cases of printed and flexible electronics integrated into sporting goods and garments to increase their range of functionalities and optimise the efficiency and health of the wearer.
OE-A members will present their printed electronics technologies and how they can enable new features for the sporting goods industry. With this seminar, OE-A aims to further strengthen the connection to the end-user and to showcase and emphasise the necessity of joint product development to successfully promote the integration of next-generation electronics into sporting goods. Speakers include OE-A member IEE. The detailed programme will be announced soon.
For the first time there will be a LOPEC information booth (Hall C2, Booth 332) where visitors can get more detailed information about LOPEC, the leading trade fair and most important conference for the printed electronics industry, taking place from 24 – 26 March 2020, at Messe München. Furthermore, demonstrators from OE-A members will be showcased at the booth, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the integration of organic and printed electronics into smart products.
