Former Toyota executive joins TactoTek as advisor

TactoTek, a global leader in in-mold structural electronics (IMSE), announced that Kazuhiko Miyadera, a former Toyota executive with extensive global leadership experience, has joined as an advisor. Miyadera will support TactoTek’s expansion in global automotive markets, leveraging his deep industry expertise and network.
“Miyadera-san has built and led highly successful automotive operations across Japan, Europe, and the United States, driving innovation with operational excellence,” says Jussi Harvela, CEO of TactoTek. “His deep industry knowledge and relationships remain highly relevant, and we are honored by his enthusiasm for TactoTek and IMSE technology. His conviction in IMSE smart surfaces’ significance for automotive markets globally is invaluable.”
The company’s IMSE solutions integrate lighting, touch controls, antennas, and other electronics into seamless, single-piece smart surfaces. By combining electronics, mechanics, and aesthetics within 3D injection-molded parts, IMSE enables innovative designs that enhance functionality and sustainability. Holding over 290 granted patents, the company licenses its technology to a worldwide ecosystem of partners, including 28 licensees so far, many of whom are leading automotive suppliers actively advancing IMSE for mass production.
“The automotive industry is more competitive than ever, with OEMs seeking differentiation through innovative design and sustainable solutions,” says Kazuhiko Miyadera. “TactoTek’s IMSE technology is a game-changer, offering a unique platform to meet these aspirations. I am excited to support its adoption.”
