Joint project by ifm and Schreiner Group: complete solutions for intralogistics
At LogiMAT, which starts on 25 April in Stuttgart, ifm (Essen, Germany) and Schreiner Group (Oberschleißheim, Germany) will demonstrate the possibilities RFID technology offers for intralogistics.
Complete solutions for intralogistics are becoming more and more important in order to be able to digitally track all processes from goods receipt onwards. ifm will be showing a track-and-trace gate that works with RFID technology at LogiMAT. As a partner for the RFID labels, ifm cooperates with Schreiner Group, a specialist for high-tech labels.
The Schreiner ProTech division supplies the RFID DistaFerr ESD LongRange labels, which were specially developed for use on containers made of ESD materials. "We used these RFID labels for the first time in our own production in Tettnang," says Frank Neuwirth, Head of Department Product Management Identification Systems at ifm: "There, AMRs (Automated Mobile Robots) are equipped with them, which transport components and finished products within the factory from and to the different stations. An additional plus point is the large reading range of the label."
