HyPrint wins the first Baden Entrepreneur Award “BadUp!”

In the Startup category, the HyPrint (Heidelberg, Germany) team around founders Andreas Laib and Richard Leys prevailed against strong competition from a wide range of industries. From a combination of jury points and online voting, the winner was announced on 24 September at the European Forum on the Rhine in Neuried.

Managing director Andreas Laib and the entire team are delighted with the success: "This award is a huge honour for us and we would like to thank the jury and all the people who supported us with their votes very much." With a team of seven, HyPrint develops smart logistics solutions with resource-saving electronic components for temperature detection, monitoring and documentation of sensitive products in the pharmaceutical and food sector.

If cooling has to be ensured at a stationary location or across transport routes, the smart label system with self-adhesive label, app and associated cloud offers an efficient solution. Co-founder Dr Richard Leys explains the advantages of the system: "We enable our customers to introduce digitalisation processes or accelerate existing processes in a cost-efficient way. In highly sensitive areas such as the transport of medicines, uninterrupted quality assurance must be guaranteed. With our product, we want to contribute to reliably logging and documenting the required data."

Hyprint GmbH was founded in early 2020 by Dr Martin Gutfleisch, Andreas Laib and Dr Richard Leys and is based in the Business Development Center belonging to the Heidelberg Technology Park.
