Heliatek exhibits at Big 5 Solar

 

Heliatek (Dresden, Germany) exhibits at the Big 5 Solar – one of the leading solar exhibitions in the Middle East. The show takes place from 12- 15 September at the Dubai World Trade Center. It is part of the leading international building & construction show – The Big 5.

The OPV pioneers from Saxony are presenting their innovative organic solar film HeliaSol. This is their ultra-light, flexible and ultra-thin solar film based on organic photovoltaics. Their solar films are considered to be the greenest of all solar technologies with a carbon footprint of less than 10g CO2e/kWh. With the integrated backside adhesive HeliaSol can be easily glued to a variety of building surfaces, transforming buildings into green energy generators.

Guido van Tartwijk, CEO of Heliatek, said: “The participation at Big 5 has always been a key element to our success story here in the Middle East. With our strong partner Etihad ESCO, we have realised our first pilot project here in Dubai last year. We won the “Globally Great” award and participated in the “Dubai Future Accelerator” programme. This event is the perfect place for us to showcase our HeliaSol to the Middle East and demonstrate how our innovative solar films can help in shaping the future of energy generation. We are looking forward to being there again, meeting familiar faces and making new contacts.”
