CEO of CYNORA appointed member of the panel at Falling Walls Venture 2014

Dr Tobias Grab presented CYNORA's business model at the Falling Walls Conference 2013

In 2013, CYNORA GmbH, a provider of singlet harvesting technology for use in OLEDs based in Bruchsal, Germany, had won the “Falling Walls Science Start-up of the Year” award. This year, Dr Tobias Grab, CEO of CYNORA, has been appointed as a member of the panel for the Falling Walls Conference, which takes place from 8 to 9 November in Berlin.

From the panel, Grab will assess the business models of the nominees with reference to criteria such as innovativeness and economic potential.  “I am very excited about this new role,” says Grab. “Being part of such a high-calibre panel and having the opportunity to assess the best technology start-ups from a wide variety of countries is a great challenge.”

This year’s conference has the motto “Which are the next walls to fall?” A total of 26 companies will face the panel on the first day. The second day will see three finalists who may present their business models to the approximately 600 conference participants.

Since the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 2009, top researchers from all around the world have gathered annually in the German capital to bring together scientific innovators with representatives of politics, business, media and culture. The objective of the conference is to highlight solutions to global challenges such as climate, health, diet, energy and safety.
