Brewer Science welcomes new CBO and sees Senior Technologist become SPIE Fellow

Brewer Science, based in Rolla, Missouri, USA, develops and manufactures next-generation materials and processes for advanced lithography, packaging, smart devices, and printed electronics. To strengthen their leadership, they’re welcoming Poupak Khobadandeh as their new Chief Business Officer while celebrating their employee Dr Douglas Guerrero being honoured as a Fellow of the international society for optics and photonics (SPIE).

To prepare for projected growth in the industry the company elevates their business strategy. Especially artificial intelligence enables the ever-increasing desire for faster computing and lower power devices which directly benefits Brewer Science’s expertise in both advanced packaging and photolithography technologies. A history with antireflective coatings drives device miniaturisation through advancements in photolithography which in turn allows for an intricate manufacturing process to form stacked microprocessors and high-bandwidth memory. A combination of these industries is crucial for the company, thus leading to new leadership opportunities.

Ms Khobadandeh is an experienced leader, fluent in semiconductor and electronics industries, who’s excelled at leading major strategic business units and corporate initiatives. Prior to joining Brewer Science, she led the Ultrapure Sulfuric Acid Business at Chemtrade Corporation. With 10 years of successive leadership roles at Henkel Corporation, she led a large global semiconductor materials business, including steering critical transformation initiatives across their 10-billion-euro adhesives enterprise.

“We are thrilled to welcome our new Chief Business Officer, Poupak Khobadandeh,” said Dan Brewer, co-CEO at Brewer Science. “Her values align with our company mission of being a company of the people, by the technology, for the customer, to achieve fulfilment. Her dedication, innovative spirit, and customer-centric approach are instrumental in our success. As we prepare for projected growth and respond to increasing industry demand, her leadership will be crucial in guiding us forward and continuing to deliver exceptional value to our customers.”

On 3rd March the international society for optics and photonics selected Dr Douglas Guerrero, Senior Technologist at Brewer Science, as a new fellow of the society. He joined Brewer Science in 1995, held positions within the R&D organisation where he led the development and commercialisation of several antireflective coating products and is currently in the Semiconductor Materials business unit.

“We are very honoured to have Dr Guerrero join the prestigious group of SPIE Fellows” says Srikanth Kommu, Co-CEO at Brewer Science. “This is well deserved and reflects the significant accomplishments he has made, not only within our company, but within the industry as well.”
