BeBop Sensors' technology: An application for baseball games

BeBop Sensors, Inc., a leading provider of smart fabric sensor technology based in Berkeley (CA), USA, has received the 2015 Frost & Sullivan North American Technology Innovation Award for its fabric sensor technology. The prize is handed out by the American-based industry consultancy and market research experts of Frost & Sullivan. With the award, BeBop Sensors was recognised for its technology, which is reported to be the ideal solution for today’s flexible fabric sensors industry. Embedded fabric sensors are an emerging field with great potential in various industries such as wearables, sports, healthcare and manufacturing.

Sumit Kumar Pal, senior research analyst at Frost & Sullivan, said: “OEMs find it challenging to develop or procure smart fabric sensors that are multi-functional, reliable and low-priced. Luckily for them, BeBop Sensors’ innovative smart fabric sensor technology meets these requirements.” The Frost & Sullivan’s Technology Innovation Awards are presented each year to companies that are predicted to encourage significant growth in their industries, have identified emerging trends before they became the standard in the marketplace, and have created advanced technologies that will catalyse and transform industries in the near future.
