ALD for Industry 2026 – bridging science and applications

The 9th edition of the event will take place on March 17–18, 2026 in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, continuing its tradition as the leading platform to connect research and industry in the field of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD).

ALD for Industry has established itself as a unique forum bringing together scientists, engineers, and industry experts to discuss the latest advances, industrial applications, and future opportunities of Atomic layer deposition (ALD) technologies. The event features an introductory tutorial, a technical conference, and an industry exhibition, ensuring knowledge exchange and networking across the entire value chain.

ALD is a process for depositing a variety of thin film materials from the vapor phase of matter. The usecases of this technology are not only based in microelectronics applications, but also in areas of industrial Li-Ion batteries, photovoltaics, optics, light, biomedicine and quantum technology. With the market projected to grow significantly in the coming years, the conference provides insights into how ALD enables progress in semiconductor manufacturing, energy technologies, advanced packaging, and emerging fields such as biotechnology and quantum devices.

The conference programme include Atomic Layer Processing Technology such as Spatial ALD, Area Selective ALD, Roll-to-Roll ALD and ALE. Visitors get to learn and discuss about a variety of fields and topics:

  • Semiconductor Industry
  • Power Devices, Advanced Packaging, MEMS & Sensors
  • Emerging Markets – optics, biotechnology, catalysis, quantum devices and sensors
  • Supply Chain – plant engineering, analytics, vacuum technology, power supplies, plasma sources, equipment, materials and consumables
  • Sustainability – machine engineering & process development
  • Advanced Materials, Precursors and Gases

Alongside the conference, the industry exhibition provides an opportunity to discover new materials, coating systems, measurement technologies, and equipment solutions while engaging directly with leading experts. The tutorial offers a valuable refresher and deeper insight into ALD fundamentals and processes, making the event accessible both for newcomers and experienced professionals.
