CES 2020 opened on 7 January unveiling the next generation of innovation that is expected to redefine industries, create jobs and solve many of society’s challenges. With more than 4400 exhibiting companies, including 1200 start-ups, CES 2020 featured the latest transformative technologies, including 5G, artificial intelligence, vehicle technology, digital health and more.

The 6th annual Innovations in Large-Area Electronics Conference (innoLAE 2020; 21-22 January 2020) highlights innovative and exciting aspects of large-area electronics – a new way of making electronics, leveraging novel processes and new functional materials to provide electronic functionality in thin, flexible and transparent designs. The conference encompasses printable, plastic, organic, flexible and bio- electronics with topics including high performance materials, advances in devices and systems, novel manufacturing processes and hybrid integration with silicon electronics.

The industrial print industry gathered in Munich from 12 – 14 November 2019 for its leading exhibition of print technology for industrial manufacturing. InPrint Munich 2019 offered a highly targeted platform for 136 exhibitors from 22 countries to get in contact with integrators and users of innovative print technology in a wide variety of manufacturing sectors, ranging from automotive, medical devices, interior design and electronics to plastics, textiles, packaging, and many more.

Exhibitions / Events

PragmatIC (Cambridge, UK) will be exhibiting and presenting at the IDTechEx Show in Santa Clara, USA, on 20-21 November. It has been an especially busy year for the company with the launch of its ConnectIC family of ultra-thin and low cost flexible integrated circuits (FlexICs) in February. This was followed by several key partner announcements, including Mühlbauer, Baoshen and Topolytics, and most recently Schreiner MediPharm.

Fitness trackers, smart pharmaceutical packaging, adhesive solar films or steplessly dimmable windows: These are just a few examples of the applications that will be combined under the new focus topic Smart Living. LOPEC, the international exhibition and conference for the printed electronics industry, will thereby demonstrate the innovative opportunities that printed electronics offers to a wide variety of industries. The next LOPEC will take place from 24 to 26 March 2020.
