Visa launches contactless payment wristbands at Eurovision Song Contest

Gemalto, a leading provider of digital security solutions based in Meudon, France, has collaborated with Visa, one of the world's largest payment providers, to equip visitors at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest with contactless payment wristbands. Gemalto's solution for Visa encompasses personalisation, packaging and fulfilment of the contactless wristbands, and utilises its Allynis Smart Event Platform for the prepaid payment programme and event management.

The German Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology (FEP) will be presenting flexible organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) at AIMCAL 2016 in Dresden, Germany, from 30 May to 2 June. These OLEDs have been fabricated on ultra-thin glass and encapsulated with an ultra-thin glass foil in the same process.

IN-CORE Systèmes, a French-based provider of modular optical industrial inspection solutions, has developed and implemented a new and unique metrology and characterisation platform. The project was a cooperative effort of the company together with the Organic Photovoltaic (OPV) solar cell development project within CEATech at INES (National Solar Energy Institute) in France, in partnership with the manufacturer of metrology instruments for characterisation, SEMILAB.
