Leonhard Kurz: Automated sensor integration live at K 2019

Leonhard Kurz (Fürth, Germany) will be demonstrating the automated integration of touchscreen sensors into plastic parts. The sensors will be applied to a white goods control panel using Kurz’s patent pending FFB (Functional Foil Bonding) process. The process was presented for the first time at Fakuma 2018 and is now being adopted in series production applications. A semi-rotary variant of FFB will be displayed at the Kurz booth for the first time.

Michael Kretschmer, prime minister of Germany’s Free State Saxony, and Dirk Hilbert, Mayor of Dresden, officially inaugurated Heliatek’s state-of-the-art mass-production facility for its revolutionary organic solar films, in the presence of representatives from Heliatek’s shareholders, supplier-partners, economy and the press corps. The guests were given a comprehensive tour through the new production line, which ended with a symbolic commissioning of the plant that is now starting its ramp-up procedures.
